Enterprising students and even well-settled professionals are nowadays doubling up as voice artists by lending their voice for various commercial projects, including e-learning, corporate videos and advertisements, and making good money in return.

Enterprising students and even well-settled professionals are nowadays doubling up as voice artists by lending their voice for various commercial projects, including e-learning, corporate videos and advertisements, and making good money in return.

Neeraj M Mehra, a voice artist and trainer, said, "Good voice artists can easily earn more than Rs 20,000 a day. There is a demand for Indian voice and foreign firms are looking for good trainers."

Rakesh Jagtiani, 60, an exporter, is now doubling up as a voice artist. He said, "People used to compliment me for my voice and I decided to give a try. Now, I devote about 12 hours a month and earn up to Rs 30,000 a month."

Surabhi Seth, 32, an NGO worker and also a voice artist, said, "I manage to earn up to Rs 3,000 an hour. I take up assignments when I am free. One must practice regularly and there is ample scope for growth."
