If you were to win the Miss Universe contest, what will be the first thing you will do? I would definitely want to spread word of India's rich cultural heritage and traditions across the world. Given an opportunity, I would love to work as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations and travel far and wide to bring about peace and harmony. I'm very concerned about the problems that face mankind today and want to contribute in whatever way I can to solve them.
What, in your opinion, is the most respected profession in the world and why? Medicine is undoubtedly the most noble profession in the world. A doctor at times is no less than God and the joy of being able to save a life must be truly unique. In fact I am sure that if all doctors do their work sincerely and devote themselves to the welfare of the nation, India will become a global powerhouse.
How have Indian traditions and values influenced your life? I was brought up in a family that believes in traditional Indian values and culture. I consider myself really fortunate to have been born in a country that is so diverse in its people and languages, and yet so united in its secular character. It's certainly a lesson for the rest of the world.
According to you, wherein does true beauty lie? Beauty doesn't always lie in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes it also lies within and not outside the person. Therefore if you don't have love and respect for yourself, you can never be truly beautiful. Self-esteem is one of the basic conditions of looking good and feeling great.
Which actor do you like the most and why? Shahrukh Khan, I must say. I like him first, because he's an Indian and second, because he's such a nice human being.
What kind of clothes do you like to wear? I love to dress easy. Most of the times you will find me in casual tops, t-shirt and jeans.
What would you say is your purpose in life? I want to be known as a stage artiste. After that, if I get into films, I will no doubt look forward to working with Shahrukh Khan.
According to a section of the press, you also want to start a restaurant and make a foray into media. Is that true? Sure. I do hope that someday my most cherished dreams are realised.
