Thousands take holy dip in Kshipra

THOUSANDS OF devotees took holy dip in the Kshipra on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya on Monday. The pilgrims, mostly villagers, began congregating at the Ramghat right from Sunday evening and the bath started in wee hours on Monday.

The visitors also thronged the Mahakaleshwar temple for darshan. Elaborate security arrangements were made to regulate the crowd.

However, since there was no extra arrangement of trains or buses the pilgrims faced inconvenience as heavy rush was witnessed at railway station and bus stand.
