"The letter was delivered to the office of District Collector G S Kushwaha by ordinary post on October 27, following which we tightened security in and around the temple," Superintendent of Police S Parimala said.

"The letter states that the Ayodhya verdict was not justified hence a bomb will be exploded at the Ramdev temple on November 9," the SP said, adding, efforts were on to trace the sender.

Around 50 lakh devotees from all over the country visit the temple every year.
