Three arrested for murder at Hoshiarpur

Police on Tuesday arrested three persons on charges of killing a resident of Haidrowal village in this district.
District police chief RN Dhoke said police arrested Devinder Singh, Kirpal Singh and Harjinder Rai, all residents of Haidrowal, for allegedly brutally killing Gurtej Singh of the same village on the night of December 18.
He said father of the deceased Tasveer Singh has complained that his son was crushed to death under a tractor by the accused at Adda Nasrala.
The trio were absconding after the incident. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and attributed it to past rivalry.
