Three people, including a policeman, were injured when a gunbattle broke out between a gang of criminals and police in Noida.

Three people, including a policeman, were injured on Monday night when a gunbattle broke out between a gang of criminals and police in this satellite town of the national capital.

The gunbattle began at 8:25 pm near Hosiery Complex in Phase-II after a scuffle between the alleged criminals, numbering four to five, and a guard of a factory, a senior police official said.

The scuffle broke out when the criminals asked for the keys of the factory and were rejected, the official said.

As the scuffle continued, the police reached the spot and seeing them the criminals opened fire at them.

Police also retaliated and two of them were injured.

One policeman also suffered injuries in the incident.
