Three members of tribal family lynched in Jharkhand

Three members of a tribal family were lynched allegedly by their neighbours for practicing witchcraft in Lohanjara village of the district.

Police said the assailants forced their way into house of a person named Kudia Munda last night and beat three persons with sticks till they collapsed, police said.

The assailants had been accusing the victims of practising black magic and causing illness in neighbourhood.

The bodies of 65-year-old Kudia, his wife Karmi (55) and 25 year-old son Rahesh were recovered on Sunday and sent for 'post-mortem.

FIR has been lodged in this regard against five persons - Jairam Oraon, Ropna Oraon, Jainath Oraon, Prakash Oraon and Chamru Oraon, sources said, adding that all the accused are absconding.
