Three quarantined with suspected swine flu symptoms

A staffer of a leading international airline and two air passengers, including a Swedish national, have been quarantined at a hospital in Bangalore with symptoms of swine flu, a top health official said on Tuesday.

A staffer of a leading international airline and two air passengers, including a Swedish national, have been quarantined at a hospital in Bangalore with symptoms of swine flu, a top health official said on Tuesday.

The male staffer working with Air France was quarantined at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore on Monday. His samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology at Pune for testing.

Two other passengers, a Swedish national and an Indian, who arrived from Thailand at Bangalore airport on Tuesday were also quarantined after they displayed some flu symptoms.

Meanwhile, the treatment of a 29-year-old woman and her three-year old child was continuing after they tested positive for the virus, the official said.
