Three terrorists killed in J&K encounter

Three terrorists were shot dead during an encounter at Malikpora in Shopian area of Pulwama late on Monday night.

Three terrorists involved in snatching of weapons from policemen in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir last week, have been killed in an encounter with security forces, a defence spokesman said on Tuesday.

Three terrorists were shot dead during an encounter at Malikpora in Shopian area of Pulwama late on Monday night, the spokesman said.

He said two rifles and a pistol, which were snatched from policemen posted at a picket at Resihinagri in the same area on January 12, were recovered from the encounter site.

The identity and group affiliation of the slain militants was being ascertained, he added.
