Three way race for APCC President

Three persons including present president Nabam Tuki filed nominations for the president's post of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC).

Three persons including present president Nabam Tuki filed nominations for the president's post of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC).

The elections for the post will be held on September 17.

Party sources said Tuki filed his papers this morning while former Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress president Tatar Kipa along with sitting R D minister Takar Marde filed papers yesterday.

Today is the last date of filing nominations. Scrutiny of papers will take place tomorrow while withdrawal of nominations on September 15, sources said.

Election through secret ballot will take place on September 17 for which AISS had appointed Virendra Bakshi as Pradesh returning officer.

Apart from APCC president, election will be held for vice-president and other executive members of the party
