Tibetan PM donates for Uttarakhand relief

Sikyong (Tibetan prime minister in-exile) Lobsang Sangay met Uttarakhand chief minister Vijay Bahuguna in Dehradun on Friday.

“The Sikyong conveyed the message of sympathy and support from the spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, and the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) to Bahuguna over the natural disaster,” said a statement issued by the department of information and international relation quoting an official who was accompanying Sangay on the occasion.

Sangay gave donation of Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2.38 lakh on behalf of the CTA and the Tibetan community in Dharamsala, respectively, for the relief mission.He sought support from the chief minister for some problems being faced by the Tibetan community in the state.

The chief minister assured to give his best possible support,” said the statement.
