The stadium was thoroughly checked by security personnel with sniffer dogs and bomb detection devices. The adjacent RCA academy and even the pitches where the Australians were having practice were examined for any hidden explosives.

But an RCA official said the security inspection was a routine matter before any match whether a minor game or an international match.

"Security personnel had a thorough check inside the stadium and at Future Cricket Academy. But it was not related to the bomb hoax and not done after request by the visiting team," the official told PTI.

"The Australians are more than satisfied with the security situation at the Stadium and at the team hotel," he said.

The security at the academy continued to be tight during Australian team practice and nobody was allowed inside without a pass, even for the scribes.

The local crowd were also kept at bay and they were only allowed to come near the academy only after the visiting team had gone and the local RCA team started their net session.

For tomorrow's game also, only the invitation card holders are allowed inside the stadium.
