Chaired by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, the meeting is understood to have discussed the poor storage in Mettur dam, following the non-release of cauvery water by Karnataka government last year.

This is the first cabinet meeting after five members were added to the ministry on Tuesday last, while dropping two.
