Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise was kicked out of his son Conor's audition for new movie Seven Pounds because he was distracting the teenager.

The 16-year-old made his acting debut, playing the son of Will Smith's character in the movie.

Cruise and his actor-producer friend Smith insisted Conor audition for director Gabriele Muccino but they couldn't resist the temptation to pry, reports contactmusic.com.

"He went and auditioned, and Will and I were standing in the audition room, and the director said, 'Get out',” Cruise said.

He added: "We were standing in the waiting room, like nervous parents, waiting to see if he got it or not. And he got it. I wanted Conor to earn it.”
