Trade Tax lawyers stage demonstration
THE TRADE tax lawyers staged a demonstration on the premises of Trade Tax office at Chetganj on Friday in support of their demands.It may be mentioned that Trade Tax lawyers and employees of the same department clashed with each other on the premises of the Trade Tax Court here on January 20. The cause of clash is related to a dispute between the two groups over construction of a boundary wall on the campus.

It may be mentioned that Trade Tax lawyers and employees of the same department clashed with each other on the premises of the Trade Tax Court here on January 20. The cause of clash is related to a dispute between the two groups over construction of a boundary wall on the campus.
Following the clash, the Trade Tax Bar officials lodged a named FIR with Chetganj police station against the trade tax officers and employees whereas a counter FIR was lodged by trade tax employees.
The agitated lawyers under the leadership of Tax Advocate Association president, SPN Singh staged a dharna on Friday and demanded arrest of responsible trade tax officials.
President of Trade Tax Bar Association, Sudhanshu Upadhyay, alleged that the administration of trade tax was trying to evacuate the places of advocates on which they were working for the last 20 years. He further alleged that trade tax employees had beaten up their colleague on the instigation of trade tax officials.
He warned that they would launch a massive agitation in case their demands were not entertained till Saturday. He said that advocates were fully prepared and would never allow the trade tax employees to succeed in their undesired intentions.
Meanwhile, employees of the Trade Tax department also staged a dharna in support of their demands for arrest of responsible lawyers who had beaten up their colleague, Lalit Mohan Srivastava.
