Hundreds of people on Saturday thronged the Triveni Sangam at Kanyakumari on the 'Thai Amavasi' day to pay obeisance to their late family members.
Amidst tight security, the hundreds, including several tourists, took dip in the sea.
Big rush was also witnessed at the Bagavathiamman temple nearby.
