Two separatist guerrillas and a soldier were killed in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning during gunfight between security forces and militants.
The first incident occurred in the summer capital's Ishbar locality near the famous Mughal gardens where security personnel acting on specific information surrounded a house in the early hours of Friday.

"As security forces tried to enter the house, hiding militants hurled bullets and opened indiscriminate fire at the raiding party," said a senior police officer.

He said the fire was returned and the cordon around the house was strengthened. "So far one militant has been killed in the ongoing gunfight."

In the second incident, security forces shot dead one guerrilla during the nightlong fierce gunfight with holed up militants at Panzpura village in Anantnag district, 45 km from here. An Indian Army soldier was killed in the exchange of bullets.
