Two killed as car skids off road

Two youths were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road at Larankelo village, 25 km from here, on Thursday night. The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar, 19, son of Ram Chand, and Bhagmal, 26, son of Bhole Ram.

Both were residents of Khil village in Mandi. The police said Bhagmal was driving the car. The incident took place when the driver failed to negotiate a turn and the car rolled down a 250-ft-deep nullah, killing them on the spot.

A case has been registered. The bodies were handed over to their relatives after a postmortem. Kullu SDM Viney Singh Thakur said an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 each has been released to the next of the kin of the deceased.
