Two policemen were injured on Saturday when locals indulged in stone pelting at a police team which tried to prevent forceful closure of a market, officials said in Firozabad.

Two policemen were injured on Saturday when locals indulged in stone pelting at a police team which tried to prevent forceful closure of a market, officials said in Firozabad.

Policemen Pratap Singh Solanki and Omveer Singh sustained injuries when the police used mild force in an attempt to prevent some people from downing the shutters of the shops and blocking the national highway, SP Raghuveer Lal told reporters.

"Those involved in stone pelting and ruckus are being identified and stern action inculding invoking NSA would be taken against them," the SP said.
