"Police assisted by CRPF personnel raided the house of Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai at Barzallah this evening and whisked him away," they said.

Sahrai, general secretary of Geelani-led Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is the fourth top separatist leader to have been arrested.

"Chief of Dukhtran-e-Millat Asiya Indrabi, who is admitted to Skims hospital following a leg injury, was also arrested by the security forces," they said.

Geelani and Chairman of moderate Hurriyat conference Mirwaiz Umer Farooq were arrested on Sunday while Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Mohammad Yaseen Malik was arrested when he defied curfew and tried to march towards Lal Chowk.

More than a dozen second rung leaders of Hurriyat Conference were arrested a day ahead of 'Lal Chowk chalo' programme of coordination committee of separatists.
