Two sons charged with corruption by CBI
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed chargesheets accusing former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala’s sons, Ajay Singh Chautala and Abhay Singh Chautala, of corruption, reports Manish Tiwari.

The agency also wants to prosecute Om Prakash Chautala. As he is a member of the Haryana assembly, permission has been sought from the Speaker to prosecute him.
The three Chautalas are accused of collectively amassing assets worth Rs 80 crore beyond their known sources of income, said a CBI official refusing to be identified.
Hindustan Times had reported in June the CBI was getting ready to prosecute the former chief minister and his sons.
The Chautalas — and the trusts and societies run by them — own around 100 properties, including farm houses,
holiday homes, shops, petrol pumps, land and flats in different parts of the country, the CBI has said.
The agency registered an FIR against the former chief minister in 2006 on the recommendations of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The CBI had then said valued the Chautalas’ assets at over Rs 1,460 crore, spread across Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Chattisgarh and Chandigarh.
“The law will take its course,” Ajay Chautala told PTI. He added that he welcomed the CBI action and hoped the trial in the court will be completed soon so people to know the truth at the earliest.
