RENOWNED PLAYBACK singer Udit Narayan will be felicitated with the ?Samrat Vikramaditya Sangeet Alankaran Samman? by Vice-resident Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at a three-day ?Gudi Padwa? programme to be organised jointly by Ujjain Development Authority (UDA) and cultural department of State Government on March 28. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would also be present at the programme.
RENOWNED PLAYBACK singer Udit Narayan will be felicitated with the ‘Samrat Vikramaditya Sangeet Alankaran Samman’ by Vice-resident Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at a three-day ‘Gudi Padwa’ programme to be organised jointly by Ujjain Development Authority (UDA) and cultural department of State Government on March 28. The playback singer would be presented a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a shawl and memento and certificate. Udit Narayan would also perform on the occasion. A grand non-residential Indians’ meet would also be organised along with other spiritual and cultural programmes. A UDA spokes-man said here that the award was instituted by former president of UDA Mohan Yadav and is given every year to a musician or a singer for his/her contribution in the field of music.
Programme convener Sarvesh Sharma said arrangements for the programme were on in full swing. The programme would conclude at Ramghat on March 30.
