Rajkumar Manisana, the founder head of UFO told media persons in Imphal that any move to ban the UFO would be strongly opposed.

UFO stands for an independent Manipur, which will be a democratic country under the rule of a monarch, and will maintain cordial relationship with India. Manisana said that independence of Manipur does not really mean that it should be separated from India, and that the term "independence" is used in a humane perspective to mean peaceful co-existence.

Recently, the state government had suspended four of its employees, who allegedly had connections with UFO and consequently, had sought a ban on the outfit.

UFO, formed by Manisana, grandson of the Manipuri king Bodhachandra, has 187 units in Manipur, Assam and Tripura, with nearly one lakh members.
