Around 70 percent students out of the total selected students called for admissions in BCom-I and BSc-I as per merit list turned up on the first day of the admission process.
Students started to assemble at the Pravesh Bhawan from 8.30 am to report according to the scheduled reporting time and the admission process had begun. Things were going smoothly at Pravesh Bhawan as policemen were deployed while AU authorities including Proctor Prof Jata Shankar visited the place time to time.
However the admission process was disrupted by some students from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. The protesting students led by student leader Dr Nirbhay Singh Patel forcibly stopped the admission process as soon as Prof Jata Shankar left the Pravesh Bhawan.
BCom Admissions Chairman Dr AK Malviya said that out of around 150 students called 102 students got admissions including 55 boys and 52 girls.
Similarly out of 300 students called for admissions to BSc (Math) around 175 turned up and 167 got admissions.
