Talking to mediapersons on her visit to the city in connection with her Janadesh Yatra, Bharti said internal democracy was no more visible in any political party in the country. Under such circumstances, an alternative political front had become a must, she said.

Ruling out her return to the BJP fold, she said it was not the party, but only a handful of leaders who were behind her ouster. She said she could not think of returning to the BJP fold, as long as those behind her expulsion had a say in the party.

She said she planned to go to the people to propagate the ideology of Deen Dayal Upadhya, adding that stress would be laid on rooting out corruption and the criminal-politician nexus in UP.

She said she would also strive for development of Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. Accusing the BJP of deviating from its path, she said, those who expelled her from the party could never be loyal to it.

Dubbing the Congress the root of evil, she said there could be no alliance with such a party.

She predicted BJP chief Rajnath Singh would become a victim of internal BJP politics.

Stating that Kalyan Singh was like her father, she criticised the BJP leadership for cold -shouldering him. Kalyan’s stature in the party could be equated with that of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, she said.

Meanwhile, Bharti, who arrived in the city by Reewanchal Express on Saturday, was taken to the Magh Mela in an open vehicle.

She was cheered by people at several places en route to the Mela area. Later, she addressed a meeting in the evening at a park on Zero Road in the old city.
