Unidentified persons burgled a house in the west city area in Sadar and decamped with goods worth Rs 40 lakh including Rs two lakh in cash, police said on Saturday.

The burglary, which took place when the occupants of the house were away from January 6 to 9, was discovered by them when they returned on Friday night, police said. The robbers entered the fourth floor house in Sterling Apartments in Raj Nagar using a duplicate key and looted the cash and jewellery, they said adding officials had immediately swung into action.
