Union Bank employees stage demo

Under the joint aegis of MP Bank Employees Association and MP Bank Officers? Association, the members of the All India Union Bank Employees Coordination Committee (AIUBECC) staged demonstration on Friday, in front of Union Bank of India?s Malviya Nagar branch.

Under the joint aegis of MP Bank Employees Association and MP Bank Officers’ Association, the members of the All India Union Bank Employees Coordination Committee (AIUBECC) staged demonstration on Friday, in front of Union Bank of India’s Malviya Nagar branch.

The demonstration was staged to protest against moves of mergers, acquisition and amalgamation of public sector banks, outsourcing of bank jobs and non-absorption of casual employees.

Speaking on the occasion, convener of AIUBECC, B C Nigam said that the bank would go for total stay out strike in October. He said the bank’s agitation is also in protest against the discriminative attitude of management towards award staff of the bank. The union leaders demanded compassionate appointments, filling up vacancies in clerical & subordinate cadres and maintenance of sanctity of all settlements.
