She lived as awoman for 16 years but now she is all geared up for a role reversal. The first-ever case of sex change has been recorded in Uttar Pradesh where Sangeeta - a young, petite girl - would be transformed into a chubby boy in a few months.

She has already undergone a surgery but it will take sometime before her sex changes completely.

According to Dr Mrigendra Kumar Rai, who conducted the operation with his team of medical experts in Varanasi, said, "There is no doubt that Sangeeta would slowly become a boy within a year or so. The transformation would, however, be slow."

There was a valid reason for the 16-year-old to take such a big decision. Sangeeta's reproductive organs were not developed. She virtually had no female reproductive organ! After an ultra sound was conducted the doctors learnt that she had no womb either!

When her parents approached the medical experts and revealed about her ill-shaped genitals, the doctor advised a sex-change operation.

After a series of examinations, Dr Rai found certain male organs were inside her underbelly and therefore it was possible to turn her into a boy to enable her to lead a happy life.

As a boy, she would be able to have intercourse with a girl and would be fully capable of making her wife pregnant, doctors confirmed.

When she heard that the operation was successful, she declared it to be 'the happiest day of her life'.

"Till now my relatives used to say that I have become 16 and in a few years' time I shall be married to a suitable boy. But now I shall find myself a beautiful girl!" quips Sangeeta.
