Talking to mediapersons here in the office of regional transport officer at Mawaiya, he informed that CNG buses would starting running in Lucknow and Kanpur in the next three months while at a later stage, such buses would be introduced in Agra and Varanasi.

There was no possibility, he made it clear, of introducing the CNG buses in Varanasi before 2007 as the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) would not finish the work of laying its gas pipeline before that time.
