The United States on Thursday will present a draft global treaty aimed at halting production of nuclear bomb-making fissile material, diplomatic sources said.

Stephen Rademaker, Acting Assistant US Secretary in the bureau of international security and non-proliferation, will outline the proposal in a speech to the United Nations-backed Conference on Disarmament (CD), they added.
"The United States will present a complete draft fissile material 'cut-off' treaty," a diplomatic source told the agency ahead of the session in Geneva.
