Airtel DTH’s new offering allows a user to record a programme through a mobile phone command to a set-top box, from anywhere.

Tata Sky is all set to launch its dual access remote recording service on its Tata Sky+ set top box. Subscribers will be able to send recording instructions to the box through a mobile phone or the internet.

This launch will follow two recent ones by the company: the True Video-on-Demand (TVOD) service through which subscribers can access any of a catalogue of videos downloaded by Tata Sky on the hard drive of the subscriber's set top box at any time; and the Auto Standby feature which automatically kicks in when the TV is not recording or being viewed.
