Vaish body to field candidates in local-body elections

THE AKHIL Bhartiya Vaish Mahasammelan Uttar Pradesh (ABVMUP) would field candidates in the forthcoming local body elections. The decision was taken at the meeting of ABVMUP?s working committee held today.

THE AKHIL Bhartiya Vaish Mahasammelan Uttar Pradesh (ABVMUP) would field candidates in the forthcoming local body elections. The decision was taken at the meeting of ABVMUP’s working committee held today.

Speaking on the occasion, senior vice president of the body Rajesh Agrawal said that Vaish are brave and they have intellect to contribute to the society. “India would become an economic superpower by 2015 and we would give maximum contribution towards the country’s growth,” he said.

ABVMUP state president and former minister Baburam Gupta said that people of the community want to make progress but they lack implementation of their programme correctly. “We have to identify our strength and the coming local body elections can be the right occasion to get united and show our strength,” he said.

ABVMUP State working president Dauji Gupta also spoke on the future plans to strengthen the people of the community. Others who spoke on the occasion included Shashibala Gupta, Jaidevi Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Anoop Agrawal representatives from various parts of the state.

In the programme, JP Gupta was made president of ABVMUP’s city unit, while Pramila Gulhare was made the president of women’s cell of Lucknow unit.
