Talking to reporters on his arrival here last evening, Purushothaman, a veteran Congress leader and former Kerala minister, said he would get actively involved with party politics, but not in electoral politics.
"The transfer was made without consulting me," he told the reporters.
In a reshuffle of governors effected by the Centre on July 6, Gujarat governor Kamala Beniwal was transferred to Mizoram while Purushothaman was transferred and appointed as governor of Nagaland. He was also given additional charge of the office of Governor of Tripura.
He was sworn-in as the Mizoram governor on September 2, 2011.
