His friend Ravi is reported to be battling for his life in a nursing home. Sources said it was not Sushil but Ravi whom the miscreants wanted to target but they missed their object and Sushil was hit on the head and suffered fatal injuries.
Sources said Ravi had quarrelled with some miscreants of the area the other day and hence was targetted for revenge.
The residents were rudely woken up from their sleep after the deafening sound made by the crude bomb, which was aimed to kill. Though some persons rushed out of their houses in this densely polpulated area, by that time the miscreants had escaped leaving the two in a pool of blood as part of Sushil’s skull was blown off.
Man held for stealing goods from godown
ONE ASHISH Kumar Gupta, who had been allegedly stealing electrical goods from a godown for the past one year, was arrested by Shahganj police.
The cops were surprised with the method that he had adopted to remove costly goods from the godown, owned by one Animesh Agrawal, who felt that Ashish must have stolen goods worth several lakhs in the past one year. Animesh said he always wondered how things used to disappear from his godown but he never found it burgled.
Ashish, himself a businessman of the same area, had reportedly taken a godown on rent next to the godown owned by Animesh, owner of Agniworld and Agni Agency in Shahganj. Armed with duplicate keys, Ashish had allegedly been removing goods quietly in the night. His work done, he used to put the locks back safely.
This morning Animesh’s landlord rang him up to tell him that he had seen his godown open. When Animesh reached his godown he found it open. He also saw Ashish standing in front of his own godown which was also open. Incidentally, Animesh peeped inside Ashish’s godown, he was shocked to see some of his goods inside.
After this , he contacted the police and during interrogation Ashish reportedly confessed his hand in the thefts he had been committing. Police also recovered the bunch of keys with which he used to open the godown.
