VHP secretary Vinay Kumar Sharma said the UPA Government and the chief minister’s ‘appeasement’ policies had boosted the morale of a section of minority community leaders, adding that the majority community was being neglected as a result.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Yogi Adityanath also demanded the government’s dismissal to “save the entire State from a communal flare-up”. He expressed the apprehension that the Samajwadi Party could polarise society on communal lines. Continuing his offensive against the Mulayam Singh Government, he said
Agra MP Raj Babbar had levelled serious charges against some of the SP leaders and demanded an FIR against these leaders.
He also demanded a probe into the role of Samajwadi Party leaders in the recent incidents of communal flare-up, particularly at Bahira in Khalilabad and in Mau. Adityanath said whenever the SP came to power, a particular community created law and order problems.
He condemned the frequent rallies against caricatures of the Prophet. He further said an attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Lucknow by a mob was pre- planned.
He said Islamic terrorists, Maoists and Naxalites had joined hands to pose a serious threat to the unity and integrity of the nation. He appealed to people to sink their differences and remove all barriers of caste and creed.
