The decision was taken at the VHP's executive committee meeting held at Ayodhya from July 12 to 16, VHP's Hanuman Shakti Jagran Samiti convenor, Vyanktesh Aabdeo told reporters in Nagpur on Thursday.

To create unanimity among leaders on the issue of Ram Temple, Aabdeo said VHP leaders would soon meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

He called on the Muslim community to forget the past (demolition of Babri masjid) and extend their co-operation in constructing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
