THE LOCAL administration has geared up to finalise security and other arrangements for the day-long visit of Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat here on September 7.
THE LOCAL administration has geared up to finalise security and other arrangements for the day-long visit of Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat here on September 7.
Shekhawat will fly on a special aircraft from Delhi to Indore. After a brief stopover, he would depart for Ujjain in a helicopter and land here at 11 am. Shekhawat would participate in the purnahuti (final ritual) of Abhishek Maharudra Mahayagna at Mahakaleshwar Temple.
He is scheduled to leave for Delhi via the same route soon after the programme.
Last rites
PRESIDENT OF Sai Foundation India, Saidas Baba, who died after a heart attack in Mumbai on Saturday, was buried here today. Baba had established the Prashanti Dham in Ujjain 4 years back. His body was brought here this afternoon and thousands of devotees paid last respect.
