They were demanding immediate intervention of senior authorities of electricity corporation in streamlining the power supply to them.

The protesters claimed that they were getting power supply only for 2 hours daily. Farmers were not able to pump water for irrigation in the paddy-sowing season, they said.

Ding police station incharge Subhash Bishnoi and junior engineer Balkaran Singh reached the spot and tried to pacify the villagers. The villagers demanded that two new transformers be installed in their villages, besides replacement of old electricity wires.

The JE assured the villagers that their demands would be met soon. After this the villagers lifted the dharna.
