Dressed in black with his mentor’s cap on, the SaReGaMaPa finalist created lovely wave at Wave East End Mall. He filled every pause with a plea for votes and a talk about his love.
“Kya baat hai. I love you Lucknow, par usse aage kuch nahi. Rest is for her… Shantibai... Call her with this name and if you want me to get my love, please vote for me and choose me as the Voice of India,” asked Vinit to Luckowites during his performance.
“I miss her a lot. This is my first V-Day after I found my love but it’s very sad that I won’t be with her. Anyways, I will be hooked to her on phone (as always!), but not at the cost of my work. I am cutting on my sleep and keeping in touch during tours,” says love-struck Vinit with tight-lips on revealing her name during a chat with HT Lucknow Live.
After getting blessed from the first woman in his life (his mother) at home, he is flying to Jammu to seek divine blessing from Vaishno Devi. “Mother is my big inspiration and soon will be with me at on Zee TV Challenge 2005.”
He also cautioned the crowd: “The home people of opponent finalists are voting in great numbers… Don’t you want me to win… if yes then help me win,” he asked with an open heart.
“It hurts when my UP tally is way behind from the Assam votes. I believe now people will respond seeing the voting trends,” he quips but adds that it’s they only who have helped him reach the finals.
“Win or lose, I have to stay in Mumbai and build my career as well as learn music. I was too young to get an admission in Bhatkhande and when I got it I have to let it go for the shooting. After the finals, I will join Suresh Wadekar’s Academy,” said the 17-year-old Capricon.
Having already recorded Dil rang de, pyar de nal rang de for Zayed Khan in Rocky (a duet with Sunidhi Chauhan); Mimoh (Mithun’s son) debut movie and Anil Sharma’s flick Apne, he also has offers from music director Pritam (of Dhoom fame).
So studies have taken a backseat? “Unfortunately I was unable to fill form this year due to the show. It is very much on my agenda to appear for Class XII next term. Let’s see,” said Vineet with less confidence — as music is his preference. But before signing off he forgot not to mention the platform provided by Zee TV.
