To possibly this end, a rally of 50 vintage cars is set to flag off from DLF Emporio, Vasant Kunj at 9 am tomorrow morning. After a city tour, the cars will head towards the Pataudi Palace. There will be snacks served at 1.30 p.m. at the Palace lawns.

Cars participating in the rally are categorised into pre-war, post-war and roadsters. Renowned brands such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Buick, Jaguar, Ford and Chevrolet will all be there. Some of the head-turners confirmed for the rally include a 1964 Ford Mustang, a 1950 Jaguar XK 120, a 1934 Rolls Royce, a 1952 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and 1937 Mercedes 170 V.

One option for the lay car gawker in you: stay home in the morning, but head out to the mall in the evening with a camera where 15 of the cars will be displayed at DLF Emporio — before a red party thrown by the same whiskey brand that sponsored the rally — you may or may not be invited to. There’s no dress code during the day, but it could be useful to up it a notch.
