It was a platform for young artists to showcase their talent. The art exhibition, New Paradigm, organised by Gallery Threshold, opened at the Visual Art Gallery, IHC, saw the coming together of young as well as experienced artists. The exhibition featured works by 20 artists including Atul Dhodia, Shibbu Natesan, and Ravindra Reddy Balasubramian.

Curated by Tunty Chauhan, the exhibition displayed a spectrum of medium and subjects. There were creations using paper pulp, paintings using fire impression and silicon and even a figure made of gilded polyester resin in fibreglass.

The artists included four from the city, among them Harshvardhan. “I don’t like to paint with an idea,” he said. “I just paint, and the rest is between the painting and the person viewing it.” The other Delhi artists were Iranna, Manisha Gera and Rajneesh Kaur.

Those spotted at the art exhibition included fashion designer Rohit Gandhi, artists Anupam Poddar and Paramjit Singh and art critic Gayatri Sinha.
