Volunteers to manage security of Kashi Vishwanath temple ?garb-grih?

Talking to media persons here at Circuit House, he said the volunteers and workers of the temple would be deployed at the garb-grih to make for a smooth passage for devotees.
He said this decision had been taken as many devotees had complained time and again that the police had been misbehaving with them in the garb-grih. “This move will maintain the sanctity of the temple and deployment of volunteers would handle the devotees in the best way, possible,” he said.
The minister was here to lay the foundation stone for the extension and beautification of Rani Bhavani and Tadkeshwar Temple.
It may be mentioned that the Kashi Vishwnath Trust had acquired Rani Bhavani and Tadkeshwar Temple to expand the premises of Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Vajpayee said this project was started with an objective to expand the premises of famous ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple and to enhance facilities for the pilgrims and devotees visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
“Since lakhs of devotees from across the country come to offer prayers at the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple during festivals like Sawan, there was a need to expand the premises of the temple,” the minister said.
He said that the original structure of the Rani Bhavani and Tadkeshwar Temple would remain unchanged. He further added that two stories would be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.20 crore.
He said the ground floor would accommodate the long queue of devotees while the first floor would be used for the purpose of organising religious rituals like yagya, hawan, annaprasahan and mundane.
To a query, he said there was a plan to beautify religious places in the state and the state government was conducting a survey to identify 100 such temples from across
