Talking to mediapersons, Rana said in the name of Dadri power project, the former PM was trying to defame the Mulayam government. He said compensation to farmers for acquiring their land for the power project had been made and added that the project was in the interest of people to improve the power scenario.
Terming VP Singh as the mastermind behind hatching a conspiracy, he said Singh was trying to regain his political ground in the State by launching a movement against Mulayam government.
He said VP Singh had defamed Mulayam government during Ayodhya movement and he was again trying to destabilise the State government on the instructions of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Rana highlighted pro-people decisions of Mulayam government and claimed that the popularity of SP had increased due to its performance. Opposition party leaders had no issue to corner the government, he said. He cited the example of Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme and allowances to the unemployed youth in the support of his claims.
