While felicitating 12 patients on the occasion of the Obesity Day here today, physician Dr SK Bhattar said that however, weight control measures including diet control and strenuous exercises without any proper monitoring could harm nervous and muscular system of the body. Thus the best way to reduce the weight and to keep it under control was to practice natural rules of keeping the body fit, he added.
Dr Bhattar, who is known for his expertise in weight and diabetes control, said that about a dozen of his patients have shown remarkable results in weight-loss just by adopting simple daily routine. All such patients were felicitated at a function here today.
Manju Tiwari, a patient said that she was overweight. Her weight was around 102 Kg about 11 months ago but 30 minutes of daily walk along with regulated fatless diet and aerobic exercises reduced her weight to 80 Kg.
Similarly, Reema Mukherjee said that her weight was around 117 Kg, however, following Dr Bhattar’s consultancy, she had brought down her weight to 87 Kg.
Saroj Diwesi succeeded in reducing 9 kg of her weight within five months.
Several other patients who preferred anonymity said that they had also adopted the simple natural rules for weight reduction and they have been benefit from it.
Dr Bhattar while talking to HT said that the reduced weight would remain under control if the patients continued to follow the simple weight loss rules. He, however, said that response to natural principles differed from patient to patient.
