Deputy registrar examination Sanjeev Singh expressed surprise when reporters asked regarding the matter and said he would immediately get to the matter.

Sources said employees of the examination section informed senior officials regarding the crack in the roof and wards of the examination record block but failed to draw the authorities’ attention.

On Monday, rainwater was flowing into the record room and employees were facing hardship in shifting records from one to other place.

Insensitive attitude regarding maintenance of educational and academic records of the students generated serious resentment among the students’ union leaders. It is noteworthy that the examination hall conducts the examination and keeps all records, including answer sheets, tabulation chart, mark slips and mark sheets of the students.

Meanwhile, moderate rain in two spells on Wednesday brought respite to the resident who were facing hardship due to humidity and heat accompanied with unscheduled prolonged hour power rostering. But, the rain also aggravated further the problems.

The moderate rain caused water logging in low-lying areas of Qazipur Khurd, Main Bazar, Ghosh Company, Reti Chowk, Sahibganj and other localities. Digging of various ponds for making BSNL chambers in different localities added to hardship in vehicular movement. The telephone system was disturbed due to pouring water and created a lot of problems.

Amazingly, Wednesday was the first day after 15 days when prolonged hour-long power rostering in morning was suspended and people were keen to know the cause of uninterrupted power supply at morning.

But, emergency power rostering at late night continued.
