Water supply affected in many places

According to information, the Kolar pipeline was closed from Sargam Talkies for repairing of four leakages that started this morning.

These leakages were reported in front of AVN Tower in MP Nagar zone-I, near Ramkrishna Ashram, in front of RBI office and in front of Maida Mill.

This affected evening water supply today in the areas including Indrapuri, Sonagiri and other areas. Due to closure of pipeline from Sargam Talkies, overhead tanks of PGBT, Bal Vihar, Chandbarh and Govindpura could not be filled. So, water supply will be affected on Thursday morning in areas connected to these overhead tanks.

The BMC officials said the pipeline was closed at 10 am today for repairing work on these leakages and work was completed by 6 pm.

Officials claimed the water supply through the repaired pipeline started from 9 pm. So, some overhead tanks could be
filled.
