At a meeting held in Shamli on Friday, khap leaders decided to strengthen their ongoing protest to demand quotas and urged members of the community to present a united front.

Representative of the Gathwala khap Ch Rajendra Singh said a symbolic protest would be launched from Titauli village in Shamli district on Saturday, where Jats would block traffic on the Meerut-Karnal highway.
