Marwah, from Delhi's Vasant Kunj area, speeded to the Vaishali station to get the first Metro smart card — with number 0035569500 — issued. Marwah purchases the first smart card from every new corridor opened up by DMRC. After Thursday, he has a collection of 21 such cards.

Riyazuddin — another enthusiast, from Seelampur — makes sure he boards the first train from every new section in DMRC network. On Thursday, the journey continued for this dealer in old sewing machines, with the opening of the Ghaziabad corridor.
