Acting legend Elizabeth Taylor was so devastated by the death of her third husband Mike Todd that she turned to Judaism to cope with her grief because Christian Science failed to help.

The Cleopatra star revealed that it was in Judaism and not Christian Science that she had found the ‘strong faith’ she needed to keep her ‘alive’ after the death of hubby Mike Todd.

"I needed, after Mike's death, some sort of very strong faith to keep me alive, something to hang onto and I didn't find it in Christian Science. I wanted to be close to Mike, so I studied Judaism for a year after his death and then converted," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Taylor lost her hubby in 1958 – just a year into their marriage, when his private plane, The Lucky Liz, crashed in a blizzard in New Mexico.
