Virginal white crochet, sinful lace and a bunch of Polish models was what Manish Malhotra chose to marry the usual oodles of Bollywood kitsch that line up each and every one of his collections.

But, the designer (oops sorry designer-cum-bollywood stylist) is all but apologetic about using each and every one of the colours of the rainbow and then some. "Colours and sequins are my signature style," he says.

Showing off racks brimming with crochet bikini tops and trunks that play on the thin fine line between erotic and sexy to create a look for the 'it' girl with a naughty twist with teasing see-through sequinned kurtis thrown in as a part of his resort wear line, Manish says, "I'm one of the very few designers who've done resort wear this season – internationally cruise wear comes before Spring Summer." Manish Malhotra label's Spring Summer rack has the designer sexing up his very boho layered gypsy skirts that have found takers in those like Urmila Matondkar by adding lace in between the layers for the woman who doesn’t mind flashing a little bit of her knickers and a bit of leg.

For the men, Manish persists with the "denims-white shirt with a twist look" the twist is of course the painted motifs and superman patches like Flash Gordon and Jim Morrisson, something that Manish says are quite the hit among tinsel town friends like SRK, Hrithik and Karan Johar.
